Oh hey!

So obviously, It's been a bit... No excuses, except... life. Besides, I'm pretty sure nobody's reading this but me, so there's that too lol. Also, I haven't read a single page of a single book since I finished The Becoming of Noah Shaw at the very beginning of December. I have finally started reading again, and I am starting to get excited about it again. Starting out with an audiobook after a reading slump is definitely the way to go. I tend to switch back and forth between the audiobook and the physical book if I have both, but I do a whole lot of driving most days, which puts a damper on my reading time. That's where audiobooks come in. I can even speed it up so that it's at the same speed it would be if I was reading the physical book. All narrators are different, so I don't put all audiobooks on the same speed. Sometimes I can't go any higher than 1.4x, and sometimes I can go up to (or even over, on a very rare occasion) 2x speed. It makes a huge difference.

Right now, I'm reading Scythe by Neal Shusterman, and I am LOVING it! I've owned the physical version of this book for quite a while, and for some reason, I have never even attempted to pick it up. I can't think of any reason, because I was really excited when I bought it. Anyway, the next book in the series, Thunderhead, has just been released, so I'm excited to be able to go straight into the second book when I'm done with the first. So I'll get at least 2 books read anyway. Also, Beneath the Sugar Sky just came out, and I'm obviously super excited for that (plus it's short).

I'm going to try really hard to start posting here more often, because I feel like it will motivate to read more, because then I'll have more to write about. We'll see where that goes.
