May TBR - including TWO readathons!

Hiya!

I want to share my TBR for May, which includes my OWLs TBR (yes I know it's late, but I do what I want), and my Believathon TBR. Plus I'm trying to fit in as many PopSugar Reading Challenge book as I can, since I only have 8 months to do the whole list.

We'll start with my OWLs books:
  1. Ancient Runes - soo... already cheating lol. The prompt is "Heart rune - heart on the cover or in the title", but I've instead picked a book about runes, and with runes on the cover: City of Ashes
  2. Arithmancy - Magical qualities of number 2 - balance/opposites; read something outside your favorite genre: Duke's Refuge (Christian romance is definitely outside my comfort zone, but I love the woman that wrote it, so I'm excited to read it)
  3. Astronomy - Night classes - read majority of this book when it's dark outside: City of Bones
  4. Care of Magical Creatures - Hippogriffs - creature with a beak on the cover: Hunger Games
  5. Charms - Lumos Maxima - white cover: Vox
  6. Defence Against the Dark Arts - Grindylows - book set at the sea/coast: Assassin's Apprentice
  7. Divination - Third eye - Assign numbers to your TBR and use a random number generator to pick your read: Wundersmith (number 27)
  8. Herbology - Mimbulus Mimbletonia - Title starts with an M: Mockingjay
  9. History of Magic - Witch hunts - Book featuring witches/wizards: The Light Fantastic
  10. Muggle Studies - Book from a perspective of a muggle - contemporary: Prison Book Club
  11. Potions - Shrinking solution - book under 150 pages: A Long Walk to Water
  12. Transfiguration - Animagus lecture - book/series that include shapeshifting: Dead Until Dark
My plan originally was to go for the Curse Breaker career, but then I liked a whole lot of others of course. Now I'm going to try for those ones first, and then try for all the rest. That way, I'll have more choice and leeway during the NEWTs.

Now for my Believathon TBR. I bought Gavin's amazing compendium on Amazon, cause I thought that was the coolest idea. I've gone through it and tweaked my TBR a bit, because there are so many good ideas in there! This is what I landed on:

1. The Poacher's Pocket Inn - the first book in a series: A Pinch of Magic
2. Baba Yaga's House - a book featuring a family relationship: The House with Chicken Legs
3. 100 Acre Wood - a book with yellow on the cover: The First Rule of Punk
4. The Brolly Rail - a book featuring transportation, or with transportation on the cover: Nevermoor
5. The Book-Keeper's Stronghold - the next book in a series: Wundersmith

Luckily, most if not all of these books are also on my Popsugar list, so I don't have to read like 75 books by the end of the year plus anything else I pick up on a whim. So here's that list, in case anybody wanted to stop reading at this point ;)

Currently reading: City of Bones
